PHOTOS FROM THE TRIAL OF JACK

September 2001

These photos are from our "Trial of Jack" from the Junior Great Books Story, "Jack and the Beanstalk."  We read the story critically, and decided Jack committed several crimes while he was up the beanstalk, and must be placed on trial for his actions.

He was tried in our classroom court on September 27, 2001 and our impartial Jury convicted poor Jack of breaking and entering, theft of the gold coins, the hen that laid the golden eggs, and the harp.  His charge of murder was reduced to manslaughter by the Jury.  We hope you enjoy our photos!
