"Trial of Jack"

2002

We read the Junior Books Story of "Jack and the Beanstalk" critically, and then our classroom court put Jack on trial for his actions at the top of beanstalk.

Jack was accused of breaking and entering the Ogre's house, and theft of the Ogre's gold coins, the hen that laid the golden eggs, and the golden harp.  He was also accused of murder, too.

Jack had fabulous defense attorneys, and the state provided great prosecution lawyers.

Despite all the great legal representation, here is our Jury's verdict:

    - Guilty of Breaking and Entering, Theft, and Manslaughter

    - Not Guilty of Murder
