E-Wally and the Quest

Book Projects 2002

Our genre for the month of October was "adventure myth".  Local author, Judy Shasek, visited our class, taught us some writing skills, and autographed copies of her novel.  Students used her book, E-Wally and the Quest to get inspiration for a project, and then cleared it with Mrs. Renz.  The use of technology in the book project was our focus with this fun, Internet based novel.  Some students drew pictures using Paint, while others made checkers or chess games with E-Wally character pieces.  Others created their own version of board games complete with cards, money, markers, and more!   Take a peek at the creativity our students showed!
