French Painter, Georges Seurat, was born Dec. 2, 1859 in Paris, France and died March 29, 1891, also in Paris.
He was the founder of the 19th-century French school of Neo-Impressionism.
He enjoyed the way light touched each subject, and he used a technique of using using tiny brushstrokes of contrasting colors which became known as Pointillism.  He created huge compositions with tiny, separate strokes.  From far away, his pictures made with tiny strokes looked like very distinguishable.
