| Our class took a field trip to the south of Bend, about 40 minutes from school, to Lava Lands and Lava River Cave. The lava tube cave is cold - about 42 degrees F. We walked to the end to the point where we couldn't stand up and then walked back out. The chaperones had a lantern and we had flashlights. We also walked over the lava flow from approximately 6,200 years ago at Lava Lands. It was a great trip. |
