Vern Patrick Elementary School Celebrates Space Day May 6, 2004 |

| Mrs. Alexander, one of our third grade teachers applied for the "Signatures in Space" program. Our school was one of approximately 500 selected schools sign posters during Space Day events and activities. On Thursday, May 6, 2004 all of the students in our school signed the poster. Our signed posters will be digitally photographed and launched on an upcoming NASA space shuttle mission. After the flight returns, our school will receive our original posters so we can display it along with a flight certificate and a photograph of the space shuttle crew that carried their signatures. We are so honored to be part of this program! |
