Technology Projects for Term 1

                  2003-2004 

Use the Internet to complete digital labs in the JASON XV Project "Rainforests at the Crossroads" curriculum, use online journals, and explore the JASON website
Use MS Excel to create graphs after surveying classmates.
USE MS Word to write a list of favorites (review skills - selecting font, size, color, centering, saving properly).

Use Microsoft Word to publish a poem and insert clip art (as needed or desired).

Use MS Publisher to create a newsletter of the times about the life of a famous person.  

Use the Internet to complete E-Wally activities and challenges.

Use the computer to take Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math tests.
Use MS Word to write letters to our fourth grade pen pals in Panama.
Participate in a collaborative "Monster Project" with a fourth grade class in California.

Use the Internet to complete digital labs in the JASON Project curriculum.
In student research groups, research a specific part of the JASON XV Project content.

Technology Projects for Term 3

State Research Report: Research a state using our website.  Write an eight-paragraph research report and word process it on MS Word using clip art for state symbols, and word art for special titles.  For extra credit, create a brochure using MS Publisher to encourage someone to visit your state.

Write lots and lots of poems and us MS Word to word process and illustrate them.  
Use the Internet and our classroom website to check your stock market prices and draw a line graph of your daily stock prices using MS Excel.
Research life on the Oregon Trail using our website.
