Our guest speaker, Jen Bock From Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, taught the students all about the parts of a rainbow trout. She showed students a huge redband trout and dissected it for us. It was a female because it had several thousand eggs in it. Click here to see the eggs. Each pair of students shared one trout and identified and dissected all of the body parts. It was an educational day, but our room was very fishy smelling for the rest of the day! Science Rules! |
