Our class read the Junior Great books story of Jack and the Beanstalk carefully. We decided Jack committed some crimes that he should be put on trial for. Mr. Bryant is a lawyer in Redmond and came to talk about the legal system, how juries work, and the importance of listening to the evidence. Students learned that Jack is innocent until he is proven guilty by the prosecutors and that the jury has a very important role in the court proceedings. |
