#3 at Tom McCall School

April 26, 2007

We held our third school-wide Family Body & Mind Night.  Like last time, everyone received a "Passport to Fitness Adventure"  and collected gold stars at each station for active participation.  Students and families rotated around the school to all of the stations. We served root beer floats at one station.  Students and families did balance activities in the gym and exercised together.  Children read with their families in the library, exercised on the dance mats, and tried their hand eye coordination at the Guitar Hero station.  We had a station teaching people about why calcium helps build strong bones and bodies.  About 100 people attended our first event so we were thrilled with the turnout.  Our next event will be May 20th.  It is a Canyon Walk to raise money for the Diabetes Association.
