A Healthy School Year by Sara

I learned a lot this year from all of the food groups.  I know the food groups.  They are the grain group, the meat group, the dairy group, the vegetable group, and the fruit group.

When I came to school one day my teacher during the day we started a nutrition expedition and some high school students came and talked to us about eating healthy.

We had a blast at family night from that day on I started eating healthier.

I learned that there’s five food groups.  They are grain, vegetable, fruit, milk, and meat.  I love all of them.  They’re really healthy for you.

My eating and exercise have changed a lot.  I’m exercising more and eating healthier thanks to my school.

I’m going to continue to exercise and eat healthy for the rest of my life.

The family mind and body night helped me realize that some foods are bad for you.

I learned not to eat bad food like greasy foods like sugar, chips, or other bad foods.

My eating habits changed because of two things. One is because I have A.D.D. so my mom makes me ear better and other is that this year now I exercise more too.  Now I eat better and exercise more and so does my family.

I will continue to eat healthy and so will my family.  I like to exercise a lot.  I run every day and every Tuesday and Thursday I play soccer.

I’ve only missed one family mind and body night this year.  It was because of soccer.

When I walked into Mrs. Renz’s classroom, we started getting healthy.  That changed everything.  Now when I go home instead of getting cake or chips I get a piece of fruit or a glass of water.

This year I learned all the food groups and try to put a rainbow on my plate.

When I grow up I will always eat healthy.  It is a part of my life and when I have kids I am going to teach them how to be healthy.

When I was in third grade I did not eat healthy at all but now I love to eat healthy.

Family mind and body nights made it really easy for me to come and get healthy.

From now on I will always eat healthy.

I’ve learned that not everything I eat is good for me.

My exercise didn’t change because I always exercise but I’ve changed my eating after I thought about it.

I will also keep eating healthy and try to exercise more.  I’m also going to eat healthy and exercise in summer.

I couldn’t come to the family mind and body nights because my family was busy.  I wanted to come to them but I couldn’t.

I have learned a lot about nutrition and the food groups. I have learned that I have been eating junk food and didn’t even know!

My eating and exercising habits hae changed a lot.  Mrs. Renz has told me about all the bad foods so I am am starting to eat healthy.

I will try to keep eating and exercising so my body will be strong.

The family mind and body nights have helped my family get facts on how to stay healthy.

I will try to stay healthy and I will keep on exercising. I hope I will keep my good eating/exercising habits for a long time.

This year I learned a lot about nutrition and the food groups.  I never knew how bad high fructose corn syrup is for you.  I also learned that a little sugar is ok for you as long as you don’t eat it all the time.

My eating and exercising habits have changed a lot.  Now I look at the food labels and the ingredient labels.  I’ve also been exercising more. When I get home I normally do my homework then go play outside.

I think I will continue to eat healthy and exercise more because I know it’s made a difference in my life.

The wellness nights were really fun.  I think they helped me and a lot of other people.  The dance mats and Guitar Hero were a big hit.

I think this year has made a big difference in my life and lots of others.

I’ve learned many things about nutrition this year.  One of my favorite things I learned

is all the food groups.  My favorite food group is the fruits.  My favorite fruit is watermelon.  I’ve also learned about H.F.C.S.

My eating and exercise habits have always been good.  But this year I’ve been boosted more to keep eating healthy.  I love to exercise and eat healthy foods.

This year I made a promise to try to stay healthy for life.  I hope I can keep this promise.

The family, mind, and body nights helped me understand what was in many foods.

I have learned a lot about nutrition over the year like I know all the food groups.  Now I almost always check labels.  I realized that some of the foods that I thought were healthy has a lot of sugar and fat.  So now I’m eating more healthy.

I exercise a lot more now and I am trying to ear more healthy.  I love to get up and exercise.  I don’t eat as unhealthy foods.

I am going to keep eating healthy and exercise.  Before I’d come home and rest.  But now I play outside or do something else.

Family mind and body nights help me, because the displays show how much grease and fat are in foods. I have learned a lot from that.
