Mrs. Renz's 4th Grade Class Redmond, Oregon

at Vern Patrick School

November 16, 2006

We held a school-wide Family Body & Mind Night.  We had 6 stations people went to.  We served healthy fruit smoothies at one station.  Redmond High School  students read stories.  Families created beaded bookmarks and used the dance mats.  We had a station showing how much sugar is in the foods we eat and at another station, families learned about the importance of iron in our diets and did a science experiment, extracting the iron from Total Cereal.

We had a great turn out of people who attended our first event so we were thrilled with the turnout.  Our next event will be January 25th.
